The museum has a total building area of 7,600 square metres, including 3,000 square metres of exhibition space across two levels. At opening, the collection comprised 763 items and sets.
Displays cover ancient and modern lifting machinery, equipment development in China and Changyuan’s crane-manufacturing history, alongside introductory and concluding galleries.
Industry participation in the opening
Research institutes, universities, equipment organisations and public representatives joined the ceremony. Industry representatives discussed the museum’s educational and historical role.
Donors of historical materials received certificates during the programme, recognising their contribution to the collection.
Education alongside industrial experience
Dr Xu Lei, the museum’s first director, introduced the collection and its aim of presenting global crane development. The museum provides a setting for public learning and industry exchange within the manufacturing park.
The opening added a historical and educational resource alongside the factory’s production and research facilities.
