Complete Galvanizing Overhead Crane Range

QDXG galvanizing cranes are non-standard engineered systems. Single-girder, double-girder and no-blind-zone cantilever layouts are selected from zinc-pot position, workshop width, required maintenance coverage, load, lifting height, temperature and corrosion conditions.

Single-Girder Galvanizing Overhead Crane
QDXG — Single Girder Configuration

Single-Girder Galvanizing Overhead Crane

A lighter QDXG galvanizing-crane configuration for hot-dip galvanizing workshops where 5–32 t lifting capacity, high-temperature resistance and smooth VFD motion are required without the structural mass of a double-girder bridge. The exact girder and hoisting arrangement is engineered to the zinc-pot line and building layout.

Double-Girder Galvanizing Overhead Crane
QDXG — Double Girder Configuration

Double-Girder Galvanizing Overhead Crane

A higher-rigidity QDXG bridge configuration for galvanizing lines requiring larger lifting height, heavier workshop equipment maintenance or more demanding repeated operation. High-strength bridge construction and VFD motion are combined with high-temperature and dust-resistant protection.

Cantilever Galvanizing Overhead Crane
QDXG — Cantilever No-Blind-Zone

Cantilever Galvanizing Overhead Crane

A no-blind-zone galvanizing crane with a special cantilever arranged perpendicular to the main girder. The cantilever extends the usable hook coverage beyond the bridge envelope so zinc-pot maintenance and surrounding equipment can be reached without leaving inaccessible lifting zones.

Galvanizing Process Selection

Choose the Crane by Handling Task

Empty Zinc-Pot Lifting

Crane structure, hook approach and maintenance coverage should be matched to the zinc-pot size, lifting points and replacement route.

Galvanizing-Line Maintenance

Workshop equipment, drives, guards and zinc-pot-area components require controlled lifting and access around fixed process equipment.

High-Temperature Material Transfer

Heat-resistant components and protected electrical systems support repeated handling near high-temperature process areas.

Long Steel / Structural Components

Galvanizing plants processing towers, guardrails, pipes and steel structures may require dedicated beams, multiple lifting points or long-load handling fixtures.

Continuous Production Lines

VFD speed control and smooth travel reduce shock, sway and contact risk around zinc pots and production equipment.

Maintenance Areas with Blind Zones

Cantilever configurations extend lifting coverage to spaces that a standard bridge hook path cannot reach.

No-Blind-Zone Design

Cantilever Coverage Around the Zinc Pot

Workshop Interface

Effective Cantilever Length Is Engineered from the Actual Line Layout

The QDXG cantilever is arranged perpendicular to the main girder and can extend beyond the bridge working envelope. This layout is used where zinc pots, access platforms or maintenance equipment would otherwise remain outside the normal hook coverage.

Required InputZinc-pot centerline, width, length and top elevation
Cantilever LengthCustomized from required hook coverage and building clearances
Hook ApproachChecked against pot wall, platform, column and maintenance obstruction
Bridge ClearanceChecked against roof beams, services and process equipment
Travel ControlVFD low-speed approach for maintenance positioning
High-Temperature & Corrosion Protection

Galvanizing Workshop Protection Configuration

High-Temperature Protection

Heat-resistant treatment, optimized heat dissipation and protected components are configured for the hot environment around galvanizing equipment.

Dust & Moisture Protection

IP54–IP55 electrical protection helps isolate controls and drive systems from workshop dust and moisture.

Corrosion-Resistant Configuration

Coatings and selected components can be upgraded for corrosive galvanizing environments and coastal installations.

VFD Precision Motion

Stepless speed regulation reduces sudden acceleration and load sway during approach to zinc pots and maintenance positions.

Emergency & Limit Protection

Travel limits, overload protection, emergency braking and anti-derailment functions protect high-temperature lifting operations.

Remote Monitoring Option

IoT-based condition monitoring can be added for operating-data review, fault information and maintenance planning.
