Heavy lifting within available building clearance

The 600 t crane uses a low-headroom structural arrangement. In a power-station building, the distance between the supporting structure and the required hook position can be as important as the rated lifting capacity.

The equipment combines variable-frequency control with synchronised dual hooks, anti-sway functions and digital monitoring. These address movement of the suspended load and visibility of crane operating conditions; each function needs to be related to the lifting task in the project specification.

Coordinate hooks around the equipment being installed

For a large power-generation assembly, the purchaser should provide the load’s lifting points, centre of gravity and the positions needed during placement. Hook spacing and coordinated movement affect whether the load can be handled as intended within the building.

For a comparable power-station installation, provide the maximum suspended load including attachments, component geometry and available clearances. These inputs establish the required crane capacity and lifting arrangement.

Agree the factory and site review scope

The manufacturer describes factory preassembly and post-delivery quality follow-up as part of its project work. For a comparable order, agree what will be assembled and checked before dispatch and what remains for erection and commissioning at site.

Send equipment drawings, building sections, hook travel requirements and the erection sequence with the enquiry. Identify the inspection documents and coordinated-hook demonstrations required for acceptance.
