Two trolleys support different assembly movements
The dual-trolley design permits independent operation and synchronised movement. For long or large components, the lifting-point arrangement and load-sharing requirement determine how the two trolleys are used during a particular move.
The structure uses high-strength steel main girders. The announcement describes completion of installation and operating trials, with service entry approaching; it should not be read as a long-term operating record for the new crane.
Controlled travel and positioning under load
Variable-frequency drives and PLC control support smooth movement and positioning. The equipment can regulate movement for slower travel under heavier loads and faster travel under lighter loads, within its operating arrangement.
Millimetre-level positioning is described for the installation, but a purchase specification should define the required tolerance, load condition and measurement point. Anti-sway and positioning controls should be reviewed against the actual assembly task.
Specify the lifted component, not the turbine power alone
The production programme concerns 30 MW wind turbines. For a comparable crane proposal, provide the mass and dimensions of the components to be handled, their lifting points and the placement clearances.
Include the intended independent and coordinated trolley operations, required hook separation and workshop headroom. Acceptance demonstrations should represent the handling sequence that the factory needs to perform.
