Budget planning

Track-switching crane price estimates

Compare three equipment budgets for a retrofit or a new 12.5 t linked-rail system. Each range covers the configuration described below.

Indicative equipment budgets — USD per project package
Planning configuration Estimated equipment budget (USD)
Single-transfer retrofit — reuse compatible existing equipment USD 8,000–20,000. One matched transfer interface, local rail connections, alignment/locking controls and integration engineering. Existing hoist, bridges and building runways retained, subject to compatibility checks.
Compact 12.5 t system — one powered bridge + one manual bridge USD 25,000–60,000 per package. One shared electric-hoist trolley, two short-span bridges, one transfer interface, bridge trolley rails, local power/control connections and integration engineering.
Extended 12.5 t route — three to four bridges USD 40,000–110,000 per package. One shared electric-hoist trolley, two to three powered bridges plus one manual bridge, two to three transfer interfaces and the associated local rail, power and control package.
Budget basis New equipment for a standard indoor maintenance application. Compact reference: 3.65 / 3.70 m bridge spans and 8 m hoist lift. Building runways, supports and incoming power are assumed suitable after verification.
Costs to add separately New building runways or suspension steel, structural strengthening, long-distance power feeds, freight, import duties/taxes, site erection and on-site commissioning.

Preliminary planning estimates, not firm quotations or advertised prices for an identical KSX package. The permitted transfer load, rail geometry, controls and final supply scope must be confirmed for your layout.

Send the load, hook travel, track-layout sketch and project location. We can narrow the budget around the equipment and site work your project needs.

Track-switching overhead crane buying questions

What transfers between the overhead tracks?

The KSX reference arrangement transfers its electric-hoist trolley between aligned, connected handling sections. Define the receiving rails, transfer connection and permitted route together. The offer should identify alignment and locking functions, permitted load and the operating sequence.

Does manual main travel mean manual lifting?

No. In the 12.5 t KSX reference arrangement, manual refers to movement of the relevant bridge. The system uses an electric-hoist trolley. Confirm the powered and manual motions and the position of each bridge in the complete rail layout.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send the complete load, required hook travel, project location and a sketch of the tracks or work bays. Mark the points that need to connect. Existing rail sections, elevations and photographs help define the interfaces if available.
