Complete Truss Gantry Crane Range

The correct truss gantry crane is selected from the lifting mechanism, trolley quantity, load geometry, transport constraints, site wind, span, cantilever arrangement and construction or production duty. Truss structure is a structural solution—not a single fixed crane model.

Selection by Application

Choose the Truss Gantry Crane by Handling Task

General Outdoor Yard

MGH is the main general truss family where lower dead weight and reduced wind area are important but a full engineering-construction configuration is unnecessary.

Electric-Hoist Handling

MHH is suited to light- and medium-duty material transfer where electric-hoist simplicity is preferred over a winch trolley.

Long Precast Components

MEH provides two trolley positions for synchronized lifting of long beams, fabricated structures and oversized components.

Bridge / Highway Construction

MGG is the dedicated engineering family with double lattice main girders, steel-tube legs, one trolley and one winch.

Transport-Restricted Project

Segmented truss members reduce transport-envelope problems and can be bolted together on site.

High-Wind Outdoor Area

Open lattice structure can reduce wind area, but the final design must still use project wind speed, rail clamps, anchors and parked-storm conditions.

Truss Engineering

Critical Design Factors for Truss Gantry Cranes

Truss Node Design

Chord, diagonal and vertical-member forces converge at nodes. Welded or bolted joints must be designed for fatigue, local stress and repeated outdoor duty.

Deflection & Global Stiffness

Lower self-weight does not remove the need for stiffness control. Span, trolley position and load combinations determine allowable vertical and lateral deformation.

Wind Load

Use actual site wind speed, crane operating state, parked state and local exposure category when sizing structure, rail clamps and anchoring devices.

Corrosion Protection

Open truss members create more exposed surfaces and joints. Coating system, drainage details and inspection access should match humidity, salt spray and industrial contamination.

Transport & Site Assembly

Define maximum transport module length, road/container restrictions, crane erection access and whether field bolting or controlled site welding is required.

Foundation & Wheel Load

Reduced crane self-weight can lower foundation demand, but final rail and foundation design still depends on rated load, trolley position, impact, wind and wheel arrangement.
