Double rubber-tired gantry crane in a heavy industrial yard
Rubber-tired gantry & mobile carriers

Lift it. Carry it.
Place it.

Compare nine mobile lifting configurations for container yards, construction components and heavy industry. Start with your load, route and operating cycle to identify the right machine.

Choose by the complete movement

The load and the route define the crane.

Rated capacity is only the first input. A rubber-tired machine must clear the load, carry it safely through the tightest gate or turn, remain within floor or pavement limits and place it at the required height.

01 / Product family

Container-yard RTG

A container RTG is specified from the complete stack and truck-transfer cycle. It is a different duty from a general industrial mobile gantry.

02 / Product family

Application-specific straddle carriers

These machines lift the load, travel with it and place it at the next production or dispatch point. The payload geometry often determines the carrier size.

Selection basis
Component length and overhang; clear width; pick points; turning envelope; outdoor wind and ground conditions.
Specification
A-frame structure and mobile travel are engineered around the loaded route rather than a fixed catalog span.

Single Rubber-Tired Gantry Crane

Lift beams or machinery and carry them through a constrained factory or storage route.

Sites where doors, aisles, tight turns and mixed indoor-outdoor travel limit machine size.

Selection basis
Narrowest opening; loaded width and height; turning space; slopes; floor and pavement transitions.
Specification
Capacity, dimensions, steering and wheel loads follow the actual load and tightest route section.
Send with your RFQLoad drawings, gate and aisle measurements, turning areas, travel surface and handling frequency.

What a buyer should confirm

Compare complete technical and delivery scope.

Give every bidder the same load schedule and site drawing so proposals can be evaluated on a common basis.

01 / LOAD & ATTACHMENT

Define the complete lifted load.

Record maximum payload, attachment or spreader mass, dimensions, center of gravity, approved pick points and any temperature or surface restrictions.

02 / LOADED ROUTE

Check every clearance and turn.

Share doors, aisles, corners, gradients, pavement and floor data, crossings, overhead obstructions and required parking or block-transfer path.

03 / OPERATING DUTY

Specify the work cycle.

State moves per hour, shifts, travel distance, loaded and unloaded cycles, control method, power availability and environmental conditions.

04 / PROOF & DELIVERY

Request a documented offer.

Ask for a GA drawing, rated-load basis, tire reactions, applicable conformity and test documents, FAT, shipping, commissioning, training, spares and warranty scope.

05 / SCHEDULE & MOQ

Put commercial terms in writing.

Request a dated production and delivery plan after specification approval. A one-unit project enquiry is welcome; the written quotation confirms minimum order and commercial terms.

06 / LIFE-CYCLE COST

Review the operating system.

Compare tire and brake service, power consumption, access for maintenance, replacement parts and support arrangements with the expected annual handling cycle.

Buyer questions

Know what changes the quotation.

Several machines may lift the same nominal weight but differ in loaded travel, attachment, ground loading and duty.

Is a container RTG the same as an industrial rubber-tired gantry?

No. A container RTG is configured for a spreader, container rows, stacking tiers, a truck lane and terminal cycle. An industrial mobile gantry is arranged around its specific load and route. Both use tires, but their lifting interface and duty are different.

How is rated capacity established?

Use the heaviest complete suspended load, including the lifting attachment. The offer should state the rated-load basis and configuration. For container duty, provide maximum gross mass and the selected spreader.

What if my yard has tight turns or uneven pavement?

Include the narrowest lane, turn geometry, slopes, pavement transitions and allowable ground pressure in the RFQ. Steering layout and tire reactions must be checked against the full loaded route.

Can I order a single machine?

Send a one-unit enquiry with the load and site data. The written proposal will confirm the selected configuration, minimum order, documentation, production schedule and delivery scope.

Technical enquiry

Send the load.
Show the route.

We can then specify the lifting arrangement, machine clearances, tire loading and delivery scope around the work your site needs to perform.
