JK / FAST-SPEED / ELECTRIC WINCH

JK Fast-Speed Electric Wire Rope Winch

Move a rope line faster over a defined route. JK models cover a range of paired line-pull, speed and rope specifications; select the final unit for the load path, working drum layer, duty and site power. Tell us whether the work is pulling or engineered lifting before the brake and controls are specified.

01 / SPECIFICATIONS

JK model data for a faster rope cycle.

Each row keeps its rated load, rope speed, storage capacity and rope diameter together. Choose a complete row as a starting point; the usable pull at your working drum layer and the permitted duty still need project confirmation.

Model rows are paired reference specifications. Confirm first- and last-working-layer pull, usable rope travel, brake, motor supply and intended pulling or lifting duty on the selected unit’s technical schedule.

Is the listed pull available across your whole travel?

The effective drum radius changes as rope builds up. Ask for the first-layer and least favourable working-layer pull at the required speed, together with the usable rope length after dead wraps and reeving are allowed for.

02 / APPLICATIONS

Faster line movement where the rope route is planned.

01

Equipment positioning

Pull machinery or fabricated assemblies along a defined route. Include rolling resistance, slope, sheaves and the stopping point in the load calculation.

02

Construction and installation

Move construction components over a known travel distance when cycle time matters. Define anchorage and the rope exit before choosing the drum and base.

03

Engineered lifting

If the rope supports a suspended load, state that duty explicitly. Specify the lifting brake, limit functions, load path and applicable inspection and test requirements before ordering.

For a travelling overhead hook, compare the electric wire-rope hoist range. A winch's pulling rating is not, by itself, an approved suspended-load capacity. Compare electric hoists.

03 / CONFIGURATION

Make the winch match the work—not only the model code.

Line pull, rope travel, speed, stopping and site interfaces must work together. The chosen equipment and the installation plan should be reviewed as one package.

01 / WORKING-LAYER PULL

Size for the least favourable point in the rope travel

Confirm rope layers, sheave efficiency and the required line force; do not select by headline tonnage alone.

  • First and final working drum layers
  • Straight pull or reeved load path
  • Start, stop and holding demand
02 / DRUM AND ROPE

Fit the usable travel within a safe rope package

Match drum diameter, rope diameter, capacity and exit direction to the job, allowing for dead wraps and reeving.

  • Usable rope travel versus total capacity
  • Rope diameter and reeving
  • Fleet angle and sheave positions
03 / DRIVE AND CONTROLS

Specify speed together with duty and stopping

Select the motor, gearbox, brake and control method around cycle frequency and operator sight lines.

  • Required line speed under load
  • Duty cycle and site supply
  • Pendant or remote control scope
04 / BASE AND ENVIRONMENT

Resolve anchorage before the equipment is built

Check the foundation and site exposure with the pull direction, motor supply and required protection.

  • Base reaction and anchor layout
  • Indoor or outdoor exposure
  • Available installation access

Ask suppliers to quote against the same technical schedule. It makes equipment price, excluded site work and document scope easier to compare.

04 / QUOTATION SCOPE

Compare complete winch offers.

Two prices are only comparable when the rope package, controls, site interface, documents and delivery boundary are the same.

01

Winch and rope package

Specify the selected drum, motor, gearbox, brake, wire rope and base. Identify any sheaves, rope end fittings or guards supplied with the unit.

Define:

Working-layer pull, speed, usable travel, duty and pulling or lifting service.

02

Controls and site interface

List the control cabinet, pendant or remote, limits, emergency stop, power connection, foundation and anchor responsibilities.

Define:

Where the operator stands, how the load stops and who provides the installed rope path.

03

Delivery and acceptance

Agree drawings, inspection, export packing, freight, unloading, installation support and commissioning before production begins.

Define:

Incoterm, destination, document scope, production programme and after-sales terms.

05 / ORDERING & DELIVERY

Approve the rope system before manufacture.

The project offer should connect the operating brief to an approved winch arrangement, production, inspection, packing and site handover. Dates and responsibilities are confirmed for the selected configuration.

Ask for a project document list

  • Selected winch general arrangement and base/anchor drawing
  • Per-line pull, speed and usable rope travel schedule
  • Rope, reeving, brake and control description
  • Electrical supply and control schematic
  • Agreed factory inspection and test records
  • Operating, maintenance and applicable destination documents

For a suspended-load duty, identify the applicable acceptance and conformity requirements before the equipment is selected.

  1. 01

    Brief and technical selection

Agree the load path, drum-layer pull, rope travel, speed, brake duty and installation interfaces.

  2. 02

    Drawing approval

Check the drum, controls, base, anchors, rope exits and document list against the site.

  3. 03

    Build, inspect and dispatch

Confirm witness points, agreed tests, packing, dispatch and transport dimensions.

  4. 04

    Install and hand over

Assign local labour, wiring, anchoring, rope installation, testing and operator instruction.

07 / BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions to settle before buying a JK fast-speed winch.

Use the answers to prepare one complete technical and commercial brief.

Discuss your winch requirement
How is JK different from a JM slow-speed winch?

JK is a starting point when faster line movement is valuable. JM is commonly selected for slower, controlled movement. Compare paired model rows, working-layer pull, braking, travel and duty on the same project brief.

Does a 50 kN listing mean the winch can lift 5 tonnes?

No. A catalogue line-pull figure does not establish suspended-load capacity. Lifting requires an engineering review of the winch, brake, rope, sheaves, structure, controls and acceptance requirements.

How much rope can I actually use?

Rope capacity is the amount the drum may store in the listed arrangement. Usable working travel is lower after dead wraps, end fixing, reeving and the required working layers are considered.

Can the rope exit direction or speed be changed?

They can be reviewed with the project arrangement. Supply a sketch showing the drum position, rope exit, sheaves, load path, speed and operating cycle for a matched proposal.

What should I include in a JK winch RFQ?

State pulling or lifting, minimum working-layer pull, rope travel and diameter, target speed, duty, supply voltage and frequency, control position, foundation and destination.

Which certificates and test records will be supplied?

List the destination requirements and any customer inspection or witness points. The technical offer will identify the applicable documents and agreed test records for the selected unit.

What are the MOQ, lead time and warranty?

Single-unit enquiries are welcome. The written offer confirms the selected configuration's minimum order, production and shipping schedule, warranty period and after-sales scope.
