Electric hoist price estimates by capacity and configuration

For one-unit indoor equipment planning, allow roughly USD $400–$2,000 for a basic fixed-hook electric chain hoist, USD $1,500–$8,000 for common chain-hoist trolley packages, and USD $2,000–$18,000 for standard wire-rope hoist packages across the capacities and assumptions below. These are conditional planning estimates, not Henan Mine Crane quotations or market averages.

The table separates fixed-hook chain hoists, chain hoists with powered travel, and single- or dual-speed travelling wire-rope hoists. Capacity is metric tonnes (1 t = 1,000 kg). Lift, duty, voltage, reeving and interfaces are stated as planning assumptions, not confirmed model schedules. Filter by load or configuration to compare the scenarios.

Preliminary, model-generated USD planning estimates for one indoor hoist package under the stated assumptions. They are not current stock prices, verified supplier offers or binding quotations. Import delivery, taxes, runway/beam, site power feed, installation and commissioning are excluded unless a row says otherwise; actual offers may fall outside these bands.

02 / Equipment scope

What do these electric hoist price estimates include?

Each row is a one-unit, indoor-equipment budget scenario in US dollars. Fixed-hook chain rows cover a basic chain-hoist unit and its ordinary hook/control package, with no horizontal travel. Powered-trolley chain rows include the chain hoist and powered trolley. Wire-rope rows assume a travelling hoist package, with single-speed or dual-speed lifting as shown. The equipment descriptions are planning classes; they do not identify a confirmed Henan Mine Crane offer or an exact catalog SKU.

Equipment assumed

  • One electric hoist at the stated metric rated-capacity scenario
  • Lift height and motion arrangement stated in the row
  • Basic standard indoor controls and a standard power configuration to be selected
  • Powered trolley only on rows that explicitly include it

Not included by default

  • Crane bridge, gantry, runway beam or building support
  • Runway/travel power feed, site distribution or structural changes
  • Export packing, freight, insurance, import charges and taxes
  • Installation, commissioning, inspection and acceptance testing
  • Hazardous-area, outdoor, metallurgical or other special packages

A retail listing for a one-US-short-ton motorized-trolley chain hoist may not be directly comparable with these metric-tonne planning estimates. Currency, load-unit convention, brand and package scope all differ, so use it only as a reminder to compare like for like—not as a conversion factor or a Henan Mine Crane price.

03 / Match the application

Chain hoist or wire-rope hoist: what changes the budget?

Fixed-hook chain hoist

A fixed-hook unit lifts vertically at one point. It has no trolley in this budget. If the load must move along a beam, add the correct trolley arrangement and verify beam-flange width, wheel loading and clearances.

Powered-trolley chain hoist

A motor-driven trolley adds horizontal travel along a compatible beam. The table does not include the beam, its supporting structure, runway travel drives or power-feed equipment along the route. Trolley fit and powered travel are separate specification choices.

CD / single-speed wire-rope hoist

The local product library contains CD-family wire-rope listings, but many captured variants are not engineering-verified. The price row therefore describes a generic single-speed planning configuration, not a promise that every CD label has the same construction, duty or capacity.

MD / dual-speed wire-rope hoist

A second lifting speed can support slower positioning but may change the motor and control package. The label alone does not prove an exact speed ratio, duty class or accuracy. Confirm the approved data sheet for the actual model.

04 / Compare like for like

What does the hoist budget look like at 1, 3 and 5 tonnes?

At the same rated-capacity point, mounting and travel scope can matter as much as the capacity label. For the table assumptions, a 1 t fixed-hook chain scenario is USD $500–$1,100; adding powered horizontal travel moves the indicative package to USD $1,500–$3,500. A 3 t powered-trolley chain scenario is USD $3,000–$6,500, while a travelling single-speed wire-rope scenario is USD $3,500–$7,500. A 5 t dual-speed wire-rope scenario is USD $6,500–$14,000 under the stated indoor assumptions.

Rated scenarioConfigurationPlanning estimateMain difference
1 tFixed-hook chainUSD $500–$1,100Vertical lift only; no trolley
1 tPowered-trolley chainUSD $1,500–$3,500Adds powered cross travel
3 tPowered-trolley chainUSD $3,000–$6,500Chain fall and trolley package assumed
3 tSingle-speed wire ropeUSD $3,500–$7,500Drum/rope hoist arrangement assumed
5 tDual-speed wire ropeUSD $6,500–$14,000Second lifting speed included as an assumption

These comparisons isolate stated equipment assumptions; they do not prove one type is technically interchangeable with another. Capacity, duty, headroom, rope/chain falls, beam fit, power supply and control needs must be checked together before purchase.

05 / Specification drives cost

Why can electric hoist prices differ so much?

  • Rated capacity and reeving: larger loads can require larger lifting mechanisms and changes to the hook block or chain falls.
  • Lift height: longer chain or rope travel changes materials, storage/drum size and package arrangement.
  • Travel: fixed suspension, manual trolley and powered trolley have different equipment scopes. Long-travel runway power is a separate system.
  • Duty and cycle: lifts per hour, operating hours, load spectrum and starts per hour affect motor, brake and mechanical selection. No duty class is established by this table.
  • Speed and control: single speed, dual speed, pendant/remote and variable-frequency options change the electrical and control package.
  • Power and environment: voltage, frequency, indoor/outdoor use, dust, moisture, corrosion or classified hazardous areas can require different components.
  • Integration and delivery: beam dimensions, trolley fit, packing, freight, taxes, installation and commissioning are outside the equipment allowances unless specifically quoted.

Do not compare two offers by capacity alone. Put rated load, lift, reeving, duty, lifting/travel speeds, voltage, mounting, controls, supply boundary and destination on the same comparison sheet.

06 / When the standard rows do not fit

Low-headroom, European and special-environment hoists

The table excludes low-headroom geometry, European modular hoists, explosion-protected equipment, metallurgical service and high-duty or outdoor packages. These cannot be priced responsibly as a simple percentage uplift from a standard row because their selected capacity, duty, design, controls, compliance documents and interfaces vary.

If an existing building has little headroom, compare the hook approach and full operating envelope—not only the hoist body height. If the environment is hazardous, do not assume a standard motor or control enclosure is suitable. Request a separate configuration-specific budget after the technical category and applicable requirements are established.

Local catalog captures contain multiple capacity and model labels but explicitly mark many configurations as unverified or unallocated. Those observations are not used to claim a ready-made engineering selection or customer price.

07 / Complete purchase budget

Electric hoist price versus installed project cost

The listed range covers an assumed equipment package only. Add the project costs that apply to the destination and chosen support system:

Cost lineWhat to confirm
Supporting structureCrane, gantry, monorail, beam capacity, attachments and structural review.
Electrical infrastructureSupply compatibility, isolation, cables, festoon or other travel electrification.
Export and deliveryPackage dimensions, export packing, insurance, freight, delivery term and destination charges.
Local installationAccess, lifting equipment, labour, alignment, commissioning and acceptance tests.
Import chargesTaxes, tariffs, brokerage and local compliance costs for the destination.

There is no reliable universal installation multiplier for a hoist: a replacement on a prepared beam and a new crane installation are different projects. Request a final offer that lists the equipment, interfaces, delivery term and excluded site work separately.

Electric Hoists price questions

Compare the same lifting task, equipment scope and site responsibilities.

How much does a 1 ton electric hoist cost?

For the stated indoor planning scenarios, estimate USD $500–$1,100 for a fixed-hook chain hoist, USD $1,500–$3,500 for a powered-trolley chain hoist, or USD $2,000–$4,500 for a travelling single-speed wire-rope hoist. These are equipment estimates, not quotes; lift, duty, voltage, controls and delivery change the final offer.

How much does a 5 ton electric hoist cost?

The table estimates USD $1,600–$3,500 for a fixed-hook chain scenario, USD $4,500–$9,000 for a powered-trolley chain package, USD $5,000–$11,000 for a single-speed travelling wire-rope package, and USD $6,500–$14,000 for the stated dual-speed wire-rope scenario. They assume different configurations and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Does the price include a trolley?

Only rows that explicitly say powered trolley include a powered trolley assumption. Fixed-hook chain rows include no horizontal travel. A beam, runway, runway power feed and site structure are excluded throughout.

Are these prices for a complete overhead crane?

No. They cover an assumed hoist package only. Crane bridge or gantry, runway steel, building work, site electrical infrastructure, shipping, duties, installation and commissioning are separate project costs.

Is an electric chain hoist always cheaper than a wire-rope hoist?

Not in every configuration. Chain versus rope, lift height, capacity, duty, trolley, speed and supplier/market scope all affect price. Compare equipment configured for the same lifting task and responsibilities.

Are the ranges current Henan Mine Crane quotations?

No. They are conditional USD planning estimates created for budgeting. They are not live catalog prices, verified supplier offers or binding quotations, and a project-specific technical review is required.

What information changes an electric hoist budget most?

Rated load, lift, duty/cycle, reeving, fixed or travelling mounting, required lifting and travel speeds, voltage/frequency, control type, environment and delivery scope. Beam fit and installation responsibilities also matter for trolley packages.
