A manufacturing-wide quality programme
The opening ceremony began a programme covering welding, CNC turning and electrical assembly. Planned awards recognised production teams, technical skills and finished appearance quality.
Activities also included discussion of manufacturing examples, analysis of problems and improvements to tools used within production processes. The programme brought several workshop disciplines into a common quality-improvement schedule.
Connect programme activities with an order’s acceptance plan
For a purchasing team, the equipment specification should establish what is required of the actual crane. Identify fabrication, assembly, coating and operating checks, together with the documents to be supplied at release.
Where purchaser attendance is required, agree the inspection stage and notice period before manufacture. The quality programme provides workforce and process context; the order’s inspection plan establishes the evidence used for acceptance.
