Checks and training across production stages
The programme opened on 31 March with a quality commitment event. Activities included production inspections, turning and welding competitions, and training in welding, painting, inspection, process control and product improvement.
Assembly before dispatch and stage-by-stage checks formed part of the programme’s emphasis on addressing quality early in production. The work connected workshop skills with the configuration and condition of the finished equipment.
Testing supports design and manufacturing review
Henan Mine’s crane performance and life-testing laboratory, together with nine crane test stands, supports design optimisation and quality work. Different facilities address different equipment and component tests.
An order’s acceptance plan should specify the tests required for the purchased configuration and the records to be supplied. The factory and customer can then agree which stages require witnessed review.
Customer visits provide application feedback
A team of more than twenty personnel from quality, process, technical and after-sales functions visited customers in several regions. The visits covered applications including wind power, shipbuilding, steel, new materials and machinery manufacturing.
Information from operating sites helped direct technical and service improvements. The review connects manufacturing work with the conditions encountered by customers after installation.
Include application conditions with an enquiry
Provide the load range, duty cycle, operating environment and any previous handling problems. These inputs allow the proposed crane configuration and inspection programme to focus on the requirements of the actual process.
