BUYING DECISION

Compare overhead crane manufacturers in China against the same load, geometry, duty and supply boundary. A manufacturer’s name or a low advertised price cannot establish project suitability. Public 2–10 t bridge-crane listings checked in October 2026 showed USD 1,850–3,350, but their incomplete supply scope prevents treating them as installed project prices.

01Who is responsible for the crane?

A factory, an exporter and a component integrator can each be a practical supplier when their responsibilities are clear. Identify who designs the complete crane, fabricates the structure, selects the hoist, performs factory tests and supports commissioning.

The company on the quotation should explain its relationship to the manufacturer and the party issuing drawings and test records. A factory video supports an identity check; it does not verify the engineering of the ordered crane.

Start with the relevant overhead crane arrangement. Comparing a standard workshop bridge with a process crane creates a misleading supplier shortlist.

02Compare suppliers on five purchase decisions

Decision Useful evidence Unresolved risk
Application fit Arrangement drawing, load basis and selected duty A capacity label without the operating cycle
Engineering responsibility Named design party and controlled technical schedule Drawings and offer supplied by unrelated parties
Component scope Hoist, drives, controls and power-feed schedule Generic “complete crane” wording
Acceptance Agreed factory/site test scope and records A certificate unrelated to the ordered equipment
Support Parts identification, manuals and written service terms No defined path for replacement components

A light workshop crane and a furnace-serving crane do not need the same package. Duty codes for the complete crane and its mechanisms also serve different purposes; confirm which classification each supplier is stating.

03What do low public crane prices actually cover?

These live online listings were checked on 28 October 2026. Each advertised a 10 m span and an M3 code; that code alone does not define the complete crane’s application duty.

Advertised bridge crane Listed price, USD Scope limit
2 t / 10 m span 1,850 Hoist and installation inclusion not clearly itemized
5 t / 10 m span 2,350 Hoist and installation inclusion not clearly itemized
10 t / 10 m span 3,350 Hoist and installation inclusion not clearly itemized

Use USD 1,850–3,350 only as an advertised equipment-listing reference across these different capacities. These prices are not Henan Mine offers, delivered prices or verified complete packages. Runways, building reinforcement, freight, taxes, erection and commissioning remain separate checks. A low entry price should not replace an itemized comparison.

04Agree what acceptance will prove

Factory acceptance should address the ordered equipment and agreed test scope. Site acceptance must also consider the installed interfaces, power supply, travel limits and functioning of the selected safety systems. Allocate responsibility for both before placing the order.

Certification claims need the issuing body, applicable equipment and document scope. A management-system certificate does not certify every crane design or demonstrate approval for every destination market.

Use the lifting-equipment supplier checks to investigate unclear ownership, missing technical records or inconsistent contract details.

05Build a shortlist around delivery responsibility

Give greater weight to a supplier that can resolve the crane-to-building interfaces than to an unsupported ranking. Review the commercial offer alongside the drawing, component schedule and acceptance plan so that responsibility remains traceable.

For repeat purchases, consider whether the supplier can identify components consistently across cranes. Standardized spares and accessible manuals may simplify ownership, but confirm them in the contract rather than assuming them from the brand name.

06Buyer questions

Should I buy directly from a factory?

Direct factory purchase can suit a buyer with the resources to manage engineering and installation interfaces. An integrator can also be suitable when its responsibilities and manufacturer relationships are documented.

Does an export certificate prove the crane meets my local requirements?

Not by itself. Check the applicable standards, document scope and acceptance requirements for the ordered crane and destination.
