Heavy lifting within a power-station equipment programme

The 600 t crane uses a high-strength steel structure and internationally sourced main components. High-precision dual-hook synchronisation forms part of the project configuration.

The wider supply includes several crane types serving different tasks at the station. Their individual duties need to be coordinated with the installation sequence and access requirements.

Specify the load and hook geometry

Power-station equipment enquiries should include the heaviest component, its lifting points and centre of gravity. The required hook spacing, clearances and movement sequence need to be reviewed with the component drawings.

A dual-hook lifting plan must define load distribution and the coordinated movements. Rated capacity alone does not establish the arrangement for a particular component.

Monitoring and acceptance around the installation task

Anti-sway and digital-monitoring functions support the crane’s handling arrangement. The technical order should identify the supplied controls and the demonstrations required before release and commissioning.

Provide the station layout, installation sequence and required documents so the lifting equipment can be planned around the project schedule.
