Include the full suspended mass.
Add the lifting attachment, slings and spreader to the component weight when specifying the lift.
Compare compact, chain-hoist and electric wire-rope arrangements for workshop lifting. Select the load, span and hook height together, then match the frame and wheels to your floor and movement route.

A portable gantry crane carries a hoist on a freestanding beam supported by two end frames. It provides a lifting point for maintenance, assembly and material handling where a permanent overhead runway is unnecessary or unavailable.
Start with the heaviest component and the space it must move through. The required span, lifting height, hoist headroom and floor conditions determine the usable layout. Frame repositioning, trolley movement and powered lifting are separate choices that must work together.
Add the lifting attachment, slings and spreader to the component weight when specifying the lift.
Measure the pickup height, door clearance, leg spacing and space for the hoist and trolley.
Review bearing capacity, slopes, joints, drains and turning space before selecting movement and wheels.

A useful quotation explains what the crane can lift, where the hook can reach and how the equipment will be delivered and supported.
Discuss your lifting task ↗Start with the total suspended mass, required span and working hook height. Compare the 500 kg arrangement for smaller components, the 3 t configuration where a 6 m span is required, the 5 t hand-push arrangement for planned lifting, and the 10 t wire-rope-hoist arrangement for heavier powered lifts. A site sketch helps check the frame and floor interfaces.
Beam span, clear leg spacing and trolley approach are different dimensions. The hoist and beam also occupy space above the upper hook position. Request a general arrangement drawing that shows the usable hook reach, overall frame height, doorway clearance and site obstructions.
Do not assume that caster wheels permit loaded travel. The frame, wheels, floor condition, load position and movement procedure must support that operation. State the loaded-travel requirement before quotation so it can be addressed in the design and instructions.
Span and height choices in the table describe options to select for the order. They do not mean every frame has field adjustment. If you need height adjustment, multiple working positions or passage through a low doorway, specify the lowest passage height, required working height and adjustment method.
Manual lifting suits infrequent lifts where a simple arrangement and operation without electrical power are priorities. For repeated handling, compare an electric chain or wire-rope hoist against the load, lift frequency, speed and control position. State the voltage, frequency and phases available at the site.
Provide the floor construction, bearing capacity where known, surface condition and movement route. Joints, slopes, drains and thresholds affect wheel selection and safe movement. The final crane drawing provides wheel reactions for the site assessment.
Request the frame, hoist, trolley, wheels, controls and power feed as applicable, plus the drawing, test and inspection records, packing dimensions, production schedule, shipping terms and assembly scope. Confirm the warranty period and spare-parts support in the order.
One-set orders are supported. Send your required capacity, span, working hook height, door clearance, floor route and destination. Custom dimensions, hoist options and power requirements are reviewed together so the offer covers a coherent lifting arrangement.
The committed manufacturing date is stated in the quotation for the selected configuration. Approve the dimensions, hoist, electrical supply and document requirements before the order schedule is fixed. Include factory acceptance, shipping and site assembly in the project plan.
Name a configuration above or share your lifting task. Include the load, required span, working hook height and a sketch of the floor and doorway. Request a proposal covering the complete crane, dimensions, documents and delivery scope.
