50+50 t Slab Clamp Crane for Shandong Steel’s Rizhao Base
A 50+50 t slab-handling crane uses electrically adjusted clamps and monitored motion for slabs exposed to temperatures above 650°C.

The project and its handling task.
Shandong Steel’s Rizhao production base put a Henan Mine Crane 50+50 t slab-clamp crane into use. The equipment handles hot slabs in an environment with strong radiant heat; the slabs can exceed 650°C.
Electrically adjusted positioning clamps are combined with high-strength materials, digital speed control and guidance devices. PLC control, weighing, fault display and positioning devices provide operating information and an interface for future automation upgrades.
Grip and position hot slabs without exposing a worker beneath the load.
Slabs leaving steel production can exceed 650 C, making the clamp, structure and control system part of the thermal risk plan.
Check width, thickness, temperature and surface condition before choosing the clamp.
Verify clamp engagement and load balance while moving through the bay.
Position the slab over its support and confirm the planned release.

In operation.
The crane entered service at the Rizhao base. Controlled clamps and monitored movement support hot-slab transfer while providing a foundation for further automation.
For a similar project, use an adjustable slab clamp matched to slab width and a double-trolley crane arrangement suited to the lifting sequence. Guided movement, digital speed control and monitoring support precise pickup and set-down in the hot bay.

Questions before specifying a similar crane.
Can the same project crane be supplied for my site?
We customize the capacity, span, lifting height, attachment and controls to the load, building or yard layout and operating cycle. Slab size and maximum temperature is one of the inputs to review before final equipment selection.
How are certification, quantity and lead time agreed?
Single-crane and fleet enquiries are welcome. Define the destination and required standards in the enquiry. The project offer confirms certification and inspection documents, the quantity, drawing approval and manufacturing schedule, with the shipping and site-service boundaries.
What should acceptance and after-sales support include?
Agree the inspection plan, representative load and functional tests, operator training, maintenance instructions, spare-parts scope and fault-recovery procedures. For this application, include monitoring and automation interfaces in the technical review.
Planning a similar lifting project?
Send your layout, load and operating requirements. We can develop a customized crane package and delivery scope for your site.
