Crane manufacturing and drive engineering
The discussions brought together Henan Mine’s work in lifting equipment with SEW’s experience in transmission, drives and automation. Cui Peijun described product development and technical upgrades as continuing priorities for the crane manufacturer.
For an industrial crane, the drive package influences acceleration, travel control and positioning. The motor, gearbox, brake and control arrangement need to be assessed as a system: selecting a component brand alone does not establish how a loaded crane will move within a particular workshop.
Specify the operating task alongside the drive package
A technical enquiry should describe the lifting cycles, travel distances, positioning task and site power supply. Frequent process handling, occasional maintenance lifts and precision assembly can require different operating arrangements even at the same rated load.
Ask for the proposed drive and control schedule in the quotation, together with access for inspection and component replacement. The Foshan meeting provides context about technical cooperation; the component selection for a purchase should be stated in that order’s equipment specification.
