Structure and access for a large-span machine
The main girder uses a trapezoidal structure with an I-shaped rigid leg and an A-shaped flexible leg. Stairs or an elevator within the rigid leg provide access to the operator cabin and the top of the main girder.
The lifting mechanism includes a rope-spooling arrangement to help keep the rope in its intended position. The travel mechanism has skew-correction functions that can be operated automatically or manually.
Coordinate hooks for section handling
Intelligent controls provide linked hook operation and synchronised movement. PLC control and variable-frequency speed regulation support millimetre-level positioning for the specified lifting task.
Turning and joining a ship section require the load geometry and hook sequence to be established together. The lifted section, rigging and attachment arrangement must be included in the approved lifting plan.
Outdoor protection and monitoring
The crane includes a safety-monitoring system, electronic travel collision protection, wind-protection equipment and fire alarms. These functions form part of the installed equipment’s protection arrangement.
For a shipyard enquiry, provide the wind and environmental conditions, rail layout, assembly positions and required maintenance access alongside the lifting requirements.
Prepare the section-handling specification
Send the largest section weight and dimensions, lifting-point drawings and the required turning or joining sequence. Include the operating schedule and acceptance demonstrations needed by the shipyard.
The proposal can then define the span, hook arrangement and control functions around the assembly work.
