| Topic | European-style wire rope hoist design and manufacturing |
Design and production teams train together
The session took place at the intelligent industrial park and focused on technical aspects of hoist design and manufacturing. Bringing design, workshop and inspection staff into one programme connects the equipment specification with its execution during production.
Zhao Dingyuan is a senior mechanical engineer specialising in electric-hoist development. His professional background includes engineering leadership roles at Demag and Konecranes in Shanghai, alongside work on mid- and high-end hoist products.
Specify the hoist around its support structure
For a wire rope hoist purchase, provide the rated load, lifting height, expected cycles and power supply. The mounting arrangement and available headroom affect whether a fixed hoist, trolley-mounted unit or crane-mounted arrangement suits the installation.
The hoist, trolley and controls should be reviewed together, including required speeds and positioning tasks. The term European-style describes a design approach; the offer should state the actual model, duty designation and agreed compliance documents.
Carry the specification into acceptance
Request the inspection and operating-test scope with the technical offer. Where headroom or clearances are critical, identify the dimensions to be checked against the support structure before the equipment is released.
