| Location | Wanli inland port, Ordos |
| Equipment | Rail-mounted container gantry crane |
| Functions | Remote monitoring, anti-sway and spreader guidance |
| Milestone | In service, August 2022 |
Container positioning functions support yard movements
The crane includes automatic container seeking, spreader zero-position monitoring and automatic guidance. Anti-sway functions support controlled positioning during container transfer.
A truck anti-lift system forms part of the protective arrangement. The system is configured for the port’s daily handling positions and container-transfer tasks.
Variable-frequency drives and PLC controls coordinate operation
Schneider variable-frequency drives and Siemens PLC controls are included in this project configuration. Remote control and an RCMS monitoring system provide operating and equipment information.
Wanli’s inland-port development has an annual throughput target of five million tonnes. The container crane provides yard handling equipment within that wider logistics programme.
Define the yard geometry and control scope
For a new container-crane order, provide container types, rail gauge, stacking height, vehicle lanes and working positions. Include throughput requirements and the intended operator location.
Agree spreader operation, protective interlocks, control interfaces and the acceptance sequence. Demonstrations should cover the actual container-transfer cycle and recovery from interruptions.
