Complete L-Type Gantry Crane Collection

L-type cranes use offset/single-main-girder geometry and L-shaped legs to create a larger passage area for long cargo and loads that need significant rotation. Select the lifting mechanism and trolley quantity first, then confirm span, cantilever, wheel loads, rail and foundation.

A double-trolley L-type gantry crane developed from the MDG structure. Two winch trolleys provide two lifting positions for long components, oversized fabricated structures and handling tasks requiring independent or coordinated lifting within an open L-leg portal.

An L-type electric-hoist gantry crane for light- and medium-duty handling where large leg clearance is required but a full winch trolley is unnecessary. It supports hook, grab or electromagnetic lifting arrangements and combines compact structure with A3–A5 duty.

Engineering Reasons to Select an L-Type Gantry Crane

Long-Load Passage

L-shaped legs create a larger open path so long fabricated steel, pipes, beams and other bulky loads can pass the support structure with less interference.

Large-Angle Load Rotation

The open leg geometry provides more room for turning long loads during pickup, transfer and placement.

Single-Main-Girder Economy

MDG uses a single main girder, reducing structural complexity where a double-girder portal is unnecessary.

Two-Point Lifting

MDE adds a second trolley when long loads require two lifting points or multiple hook positions along the main girder.

Electric-Hoist Simplicity

MHL is suited to applications that need L-leg clearance but do not require the heavier winch-trolley system used on MDG/MDE.

Cantilever Coverage

Project designs can extend pickup zones outside the rail span, but cantilever length must be coordinated with stability, leg geometry and wheel loads.
