127 cranes and equipment sets enter a staged export programme

The dispatch ceremony marked the start of shipments from Henan Mine Crane to the Egyptian steelworks. The order comprises 127 cranes and equipment sets; it is a multi-crane equipment programme rather than a single-crane delivery. Successive dispatches will move the equipment from the factory to the overseas project.

The September milestone is export dispatch. It gives a purchasing team evidence of an order progressing beyond manufacture, while installation, commissioning and site acceptance remain separate stages in a crane project.

Why shipment coordination matters in a multi-crane steelworks order

A steelworks can contain cranes with very different lifting duties. General workshop handling, production-line transfer and molten-metal handling each place different demands on the lifting system. A purchasing team comparing a multi-crane package needs a schedule that identifies the equipment for each position, rather than treating every crane as the same configuration.

For phased export, individual crane identification also matters. Packing lists and assembly drawings should let the installation team associate girders, end carriages, trolleys, electrical panels and accessories with the correct crane. Agreeing that documentation before dispatch helps the buyer plan storage, erection and site work around the arriving batches.

Specify production conditions before comparing quotations

For a steel plant proposal, describe the material being lifted and whether any crane will handle hot metal. Rated load, lifting attachment weight, working span, available headroom and expected lifting cycles establish different parts of the design brief. High-temperature exposure, dust and the maintenance access around the crane should also be identified at the equipment position.

A general double-girder crane may suit workshop handling, while ladle lifting calls for a crane designed for that process. The relevant choice depends on the actual duty and operating environment; the size of the overall equipment order does not establish those requirements.

Coordinate the export scope with the site team

Send your steelworks lifting schedule, workshop layout and required shipment sequence when requesting a proposal. Include the destination, power supply, inspection requirements and responsibility for erection and commissioning. These details let the equipment scope and delivery documentation be reviewed against the same project brief.
