30+ Cranes for Baowu Masteel’s Special-Steel Production Base
More than 30 cranes include 200 t casting equipment and rotating electromagnetic-beam cranes for a 3.2-million-tonne special-steel project.

The project and its handling task.
Baowu Masteel selected Henan Mine Crane equipment for its special-steel production base. More than 30 crane units were delivered in successive batches for the project, which was under construction and commissioning during the supply programme.
The named equipment includes 200 t casting cranes and upper-rotating electromagnetic-beam cranes. The rotating beam arrangement allows the suspended steel load to be turned through 360 degrees, matching the orientation required at different handling stations.
Separate ladle safety from rotating steel-product handling.
A special-steel base must lift liquid metal and long or irregular finished steel, which need different attachments and protection.
Define ladle pickup, refining and transfer positions for the casting crane.
Use an electromagnetic beam suited to long pieces and the pickup pattern.
Align the suspended material with the destination before release.

What to compare with your own project.
Match the project configuration to your load, layout and operating sequence before selecting a crane package.
| Design area | This project configuration | Define for your site |
|---|---|---|
| Fleet scope | More than 30 crane units | Ladle and steel-stock dimensions. Define the required operating envelope and acceptance checks in your technical brief. |

Delivered in successive batches.
The cranes were dispatched and delivered to support the special-steel project. The package combines molten-metal lifting and orientation-controlled steel handling within the plant’s production expansion.
For a similar project, plan casting cranes for the hot route and rotating electromagnetic beams for downstream steel moves. The beam rotation, pickup points and discharge geometry should follow the stockyard or finishing layout; the ladle route receives its own safety review.

Questions before specifying a similar crane.
Can the same project crane be supplied for my site?
We customize the capacity, span, lifting height, attachment and controls to the load, building or yard layout and operating cycle. Ladle and steel-stock dimensions is one of the inputs to review before final equipment selection.
How are certification, quantity and lead time agreed?
Single-crane and fleet enquiries are welcome. Define the destination and required standards in the enquiry. The project offer confirms certification and inspection documents, the quantity, drawing approval and manufacturing schedule, with the shipping and site-service boundaries.
What should acceptance and after-sales support include?
Agree the inspection plan, representative load and functional tests, operator training, maintenance instructions, spare-parts scope and fault-recovery procedures. For this application, include beam rotation and release clearances in the technical review.
Planning a similar lifting project?
Send your layout, load and operating requirements. We can develop a customized crane package and delivery scope for your site.
